Spring on Park Avenue

Thankfully I was able to get a couple of shots of the flowers before the heat wave we had (3 days of 90 degree weather). The trees still looked pretty good yesterday, but the tulips are toasted. Guess I'll just have to get some at the corner store ;)

Unpacking, Painting and New Home

Still unpacking, so no more pictures of the mess.

But the Chrysler Building looks pretty at night :)

Our street is very pretty with all the gorgeous trees blossoming. I'll work on getting a picture of Park Avenue - so many pretty trees out there now.

Macy's Flower Show

We went to the Macy's Flower Show on what I believe was the last day. I expected the flowers to be droopy and wilty since they had been installed almost 2 weeks ago, but no - they were just fabulous. You can't really get the scope of the show from the pictures, but imagine the scope of Christmas decorations and apply that to flowers, and you get the idea.

Rick brought home these happy little works of art. And yes, they tasted as good as they look :)

Bathroom color is too dark - got something lighter - still need to put it on the walls!

Like the Mexical Tile kitchen color :) Need to paint this too.

The shower sliders died when Rick tried to clean them, but we didn't have any place to put them before we threw them away. I painted around them...

Stuff getting moved in... That TV didn't look so big in NH.

Once all the boxes were moved in, the windows were blocked and they were all the way out to the carpet. Kinda like Christmas at Dave and Micheles :)

Packing, Packing, Packing

Sitting down for a moment after packing, packing, packing since 9 this morning. We don't really have that much stuff, but enough that we needed to really get some work done. I would have done more yesterday, but I wasn't feeling well at all. Today is much better :)

It was awesome that we got those boxes on Craigslist - we used every one of them!

Tuesday is moving day and it is coming up fast!

Closed!

We closed on the co-op yesterday afternoon - we were dizzy with delight and stopped at this secret beer garden in mid-town last night. It felt good to exhale :)
