2 sticks salted butter (1 C) room temp
3/4 C white sugar
3/4 C brown sugar
1T good vanilla
2 jumbo eggs, room temp
2 1/4 C all purpose flour
1t baking soda
12 oz pkg guirardelli chocolate chips
1 C chopped walnuts or pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together the butter and sugars until the mixture becomes light in color (about 5 min).
Beat in vanilla and eggs one at a time.
Stir in baking soda, flour.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Place 1" drops of cookie dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Makes about 75 cookies. These freeze well, but Rick sneaks them from the freezer.
