We woke up early on Sunday - the one day that Rick got up before me - and started loading the car. We grabbed a coffee from the lobby and started our trek back to Portsmouth. We dropped off our beach chairs at the storage area, and popped into Market Basket and Wal-Mart to pick up supplies that are so much cheaper in NH than in the city.
We got going on the road about quarter of 11, and drove pretty much straight through. We hit a little traffic in CT around Hartford, but otherwise it was ok. We got home a little after 3:00 and unloaded and returned the car around 4. Funny when you bring in a few bags to the apartment, it instantly becomes a wreck. Rick spent some time unpacking his bag so that we'd have a path to walk around in the morning, and I put away our supplies. We tried to keep our sun burns from touching anything, and were feeling like we were home.
